In part II of this series, we’ll explore in detail the Art of Setting Clear Intentions.Intentions are nothing but our desires, wishes, goals whatever you call it…They are the blueprint of your future life…Why do I call it Art? Because it is one…it involves a delicate balance between being specific and open ended at the same time…

Types of Intentions

Broadly classified…there are 3 types of Intentions –

1.)The Bigger Picture- The Overall blueprint of your broad desire for Life…

For example:

I am living the Life of my dreams as I consistently create Peace, Happiness, Love and Abundance in every aspect of my Life or something better…with ease, elegance and joy for the highest good of all and harm to none

or

I am a powerful Manifestor of whatever I desire and I consistently Create a Happy,Peaceful,Abundant Reality for myself or something better for the highest good of all and harm to none

2.)The Primary Intentions – Intentions for specific areas of your Life like       Health, Work,Relationships, Money,Spirituality etc.

For example:

Health

I am in perfect physical,mental and emotional health;full of energy and vigor or something better ..for the highest good of all and harm to none

or

I Create a perfectly healthy Mind and Body for myself or something better…for the highest good of all and harm to none

Work

I Create/Attract work, with ease, elegance and joy;that I enjoy or something better….It motivates and excites me and pays me well;alongside positive, fun, genuine co-workers.It makes me feel fulfilled and empowers me financially for the highest good of all and harm to none.

or

I Create/Attract job opportunities with ease, elegance and joy;that pay me my worth; are suitably located and offer me flexibility and freedom or something better… for the highest good of all and harm to none.

Relationships

I am surrounded by genuine,trustworthy,positive friends who make Life much more fun… or something better…for the highest good of all and harm to none

or

I Create a loving long term relationship with the Man of my dreams with ease, elegance and joy.It makes me feel loved, respected, safe and free or something better……for the highest good of all and harm to none

or

I am consistently loved, protected, respected and appreciated or something better… by my Parents/Siblings/Partner/Friends/Children…for the highest good of all and harm to none…

Money

I am in a mutual love based relationship with Money where Money loves me and I grow it with ease, elegance, honesty and joy or something better…for the highest good of all and harm to none…

or

I create opportunities where Money flows to me abundantly or something better…with ease,elegance, honesty and joy for the highest good of all and harm to none…

Spirituality

I am consistently connected to the Source and divinely guided towards my spiritual upliftment or something better…with ease, elegance and peace for the highest good of all and harm to none…

or

I consistently experience spiritual growth.It makes me feel divinely safe and enlightened or something better…for the highest good of all and harm to none…

The aspects could be more.

3.)The Priority Intentions – The ones those are your priorities in day – to – day life…

These could be related to your routine Intentions as simple as getting a parking spot, clearing the traffic, money for emergencies, reaching on time, safeguarding from people who bring your energy down… etc.

These above are just examples to give a clear understanding of the how a complete intention looks like…You can use them or write your own…

Choice of words

Its imperative that you choose the words that resonate with you.It’s desirable that the Intention be in present tense and reflect the emotional outcome of the desired reality. But what is mandatory here is it has to be believable for you. It has to be believable yet far from your current reality. You will encounter constricted energy like stiffening in the chest, discomfort in the stomach if the Intention is too far fetched to be believed. Whereas,if you have written your intention correctly…you should be feel excitement, nervousness and the drive to go for it…

We all have a tendency to think short term which is again something that needs to be changed in the manifestation process…Make sure the Intention you have written isn’t reflecting your short term benefit which might be temporary…

For example : I Create a raise in my salary…or I get promoted in my company are ignorant Intentions…Why? Because they are short term, not focusing solely on the emotional outcome of the desire that is increased financial freedom and …closed ended…In a way it is like telling the Universe…. even if I what I want is increased financial freedom and even if I deserve much more than a mere raise or promotion, I’ll stick to them because they are the only means of financial freedom known to me as of now. Focus on the “what” not on the “how”

I Create/Attract job opportunities with ease, elegance and joy;that pay me my worth; are suitably located and offer me flexibility and freedom or something better… for the highest good of all and harm to none…This way of writing an intention focuses on exactly what you want, is open ended and doesn’t rule out the possibility of the raise or the promotion.

Closing of the Intentions

You must have observed the “for the highest good of all and harm to none” after every intention above.This is important…Many a times when you write an Intention there is a subconscious belief that your desire would be fulfilled at the expense of someone else or your own self-sabotaging beliefs stand in your way. At times you aren’t 100% sure, your intention would serve you in the long run or not. All such things act as unnecessary roadblocks in your manifestation process. Closing your intention with  “for the highest good of all and harm to none” ensures that your intention is not harming anyone else involved including you…. “Or something better” ensures that you surrender to the Universe or your faith to bring to you that which might slightly differ from the intention but necessarily confirms your highest good.

 

Allowing Statement

This is a declaration that you are ready and you allow the shift in your reality, surrender to your higher forces and let go of your Intention believing it will manifest in its own sweet way within or beyond your scope of thought…

For example:

I surrender to the Universe/my faith and believe that my intention or something better would manifest in the right time. Thank You

 

Ways to put your Intentions to work

Energy flows where Attention goes…Adequate Attention to the correctly written intention will make sure that nothing will stand in the way of your Intention getting fulfilled…

Mind: You know how much I take care of you

Me: Really? How?

Mind: Whenever someone offends you…I keep playing it to you again and again and again till you drop dead…so that you make an entire villian out of the one who offended you (maybe just once) and steer clear from him

Mind: Whenever you go on a diet, I tell you “It’s okay, just a blueberry cheese cake will not hurt”

Mind: Whenever your alarm clock buzzes early in the morning to wake you up for exercising, I tell you , It’s okay, doze off…yesterday was a tiring day…

This used be my regular conversation with my mind till one day I consciously decided not to be game to the lies that my mind told me…In consistently defying its orders and digging deeper, I uncovered the patterns of our mind to which we unconsciously fall prey to…Mind can be our biggest ally or our biggest enemy if left on its own…Here are some facts about the Mind you need to know to make the best possible from your own Mind.

1.) Your Mind thinks You are your Mind

Your Mind thinks your identity, image,what you do, what happens to you is all your Mind…Your Mind is a part of you..You are not your Mind….Your Mind can  tell you umpteen stories which will make sense to you only if you consciously choose to buy them…Your Mind thinks it is super intelligent and responsible for running your Life…But your Life doesn’t run only on logic…it has emotions and feelings which are beyond the Mind’s purview….Look at Google for example….It gives you results based on your keywords… If google starts giving you advice,would you follow it singlehandedly?

2.) Your Mind thinks loss of Control means death

Your Mind…all the time wants to control everything…which it obviously cannot but it believes it can…It’s afraid of uncertainty…For your Mind…uncertainty is Death…hence it will scare you to death if you decide to step out of the predictable comfort zone that is within the control of your Mind…Your Mind thinks Change is dangerous because the outcome is unknown…Mind loves to work in repetitive patterns because the outcomes become easily predictable then…

Your Mind believes any new things you try beyond its control will harm you….therefore it gives a strong resistance to any new things you plan to work on , assuming it is protecting you from the harm an uncertain outcome will cause…

It doesn’t care if what it prompts you to do is for your good or bad…All that is important is control over the outcome…

The next time when a voice in your head snaps… don’t do that…recheck if it’s your intuition or your Mind playing games over loss of control…

 

3.) Your Mind thinks Anger is the best defense

Do you realise …most of the times when you get angry it’s mostly because you do not wish to confront some reality about your own self…Your mind is your protector…it’s primary function is to protect you ..this is a survival mechanism and a part of human evolution…It tries its best to distract you from confronting anything that will cause you pain… and it thinks anger is the best distraction….yes it is….it quickly cuts you off from the root cause and shifts your focus on something more external…

The next time when you get angry,ask yourself…Am I genuinely angry or am I trying to escape from some inner confrontation…

 

4.)  Your Mind thinks your Happiness depends on external conditions

Your Mind is your protector…It wants to protect you at any cost …even if that means keeping you stuck in your comfort zone…controlling every thing…and so on…similarly it doesn’t let you experience happiness unconditionally….Why? Because Happiness is always accompanied by an irrational fear of “this wont last”…

Your Mind has a strong need to control everything to keep you safe…In this attempt it just doesn’t let go of anything…it overthinks and ruminates just about everything…But in the long run ….Nothing Matters…yes…Nothing Matters…The thing that robs you of your peace today might simply not matter at all tomorrow…That offense that you took in someone’s behavior…does it really matter or your Mind is making it matter for you? A lost job, extra weight, a broken heart…will they matter in the long run…And if they matter only till you consciously change the situation, are they worth investing so much of time, emotion and energy on?

Next time you find yourself obsess over something you can die for or kill for…Ask yourself…Is this just a matter of time?..Would it really matter after this time has passed…or in the long run?

Congratulate yourself on your new discovery…after all its just your good old Mind trying to protect you…Pat your back for you have been doing excellent to the best of your capabilities…Smile and tell yourself…Nothing Matters…exhale deeply and rejoice in the moment as these words sink in…

How can your Mind manifest your Reality? – I (The new belief system)

What is reality?

Most of you would say ..that which is perceived through five senses…most people rely exclusively on their sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell to interpret their reality as these five senses allow us humans to interact with and experience the physical world.

But can you solely rely on your five senses to give you an absolute sense of reality?

What are your senses telling you about right now? That you are sitting still, motionless and reading this…whereas the fact is you and everything on the Earth are rotating at the speed of  110,000 kilometers per hour (110 million meters per hour) around the sun…isn’t it?

In Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series, Douglas Adam says,”The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be.”…

Sounds weird…but its true…Similarly the age old example of a half filled glass which explains the coexistence of the reality of it being half filled and half empty also speaks of multitude of reality…Thus Reality is nothing but perception…perception which could easily extend beyond that prompted by the five senses…

All this should convince your rational and skeptic mind of the possibility of a world beyond the perception of your five senses to exist..With your rational mind on your side you would now be more open to the idea that in this wonder world beyond your senses…

The question that pops up in your mind now is…If thoughts really created reality wouldn’t we all just sit..think think think and boom!!! came our desired reality…Yes thoughts create reality but it isn’t as simple as it sounds and needs a paradigm shift in the belief system…Manifestation with your mind is a skill and like all other skill it needs a thorough understanding,proper mindset and practice to be acquired…The basic requirement to learn to manifest is to

This means…everything in the physical realm has its origin in the  Mind first..There is a single, intelligent Consciousness, all powerful, all knowing, all creative and omnipresent – the Universal Mind. Our Mind is an extension of this Universal Mind in our physical experiences on the earth…

Didn’t buy it? Look at it this way….Our physical bodies are made up of DNA from our parents…That’s what biology says…Similarly our Mind draws from the single source the Universe and is very much a part of it  …says Quantum Physics…

Belief 1 – Your Mind is a dangerously powerful tool to manifest your reality with your thoughts.

2.)Universe speaks Energy

Everything is Energy…Humans, animals, plants, stars, galaxies..everything visible and invisible is energy…Whatever you see in your physical world is simply energy vibrating at varying frequencies that your five senses interpret as something solid or tangible…Similarly your thoughts are also energy…Positive thoughts vibrate at a higher frequency and negative ones at lower frequency…A positive thought creates positive experiences and negative thought creates negative experiences in your reality…

An average human Mind thinks about 60,000- 80,000 thoughts per day…It is not possible to consciously filter each and every negative thought….Does that mean you’ll manifest mixed outcomes(from positive and negative thoughts) without having control over it?
